Healing Together for Children Experiencing Ongoing Stress or Anxiety

You Said:

Our accredited Healing Together facilitators have requested to use the Healing Together programme to support children experiencing ongoing stress and/or anxiety. Our facilitators work with children experiencing emotional and mental health difficulties and realised that our programme will also be able to help them too.

We did:

The nature of the trauma informed programme enables us to adapt the programme to support children with anxiety and/or ongoing stress . We can do this without compromising on evidence based practice, professionalism or quality.

All accredited Healing Together facilitators have the opportunity to attend a free 1 day training session to learn more about anxiety, stress and the impact this has on children. The training will also equip the facilitators with the skills and knowledge on how the Healing Together programme can be facilitated for children experiencing anxiety and/or stress.

The approach will remain trauma informed, relational based and incorporating neuroscience.

 Why?

We continue to invest in our Healing Together accredited facilitators because they are making a difference to many children and families. It is important for us, as a social enterprise that we continue to ensure that children can access early interventions by people they trust and in a space they feel safe. We work with the Healing Together community to ensure we can offer the best services and support.

FAQ

Can I attend this training without attending the core training?

No, you must attend the 3 day training course first. This is because the foundations of the Healing Together programme are covered within these three days. You must be an accredited Healing Together facilitator to access this training.

I do not work with children impacted by domestic abuse; can I do this training instead?

No, the nature of the training does not enable us to swap training days around. The core training must be completed. We are confident (unfortunately) that you will come into contact with children that are impacted by domestic abuse. Therefore you will require this training.
